Alison Brown, AGSM @ UNSW Business School CHAIR Alison Brown has over 20 years experience creating and delivering programs that generate market demand and drive organisational transformation. In her current role as Head, AGSM Brand and Communications at the UNSW Business School, she creates customer-centric brand experiences through integrated campaigns that include the full suite of engagement disciplines – multi-platform media, brand and reputation, business development, marketing, and organisational change.Alison has a Masters Degree in Communication Management from the University of Technology (UTS), Sydney and a Bachelor of Arts in Journalism from Concordia University, Montreal, Canada. She has taught Marketing Management at AGSM and Communication Management at UTS and has designed and delivered training and enablement sessions for executives, sales leaders, and marketers in Australia, Asia, Europe, and the Middle East. A native of Montreal, Alison has lived in Sydney for over 20 years. |
Karen Clark, Great Products Consulting SECRETARY Karen is a long-term veteran of the IT industry with a career that spans four countries and three continents. Starting as a technical business analyst in Toronto, Canada to becoming a software product manager in Sydney, Australia, Karen is now the Founder of Great Products Consulting - a business dedicated to supporting non-technical entrepreneurs that want to build web or mobile products. Karen draws on her corporate and personal blogging experiences to contribute the copywriting needs of the CACC. |
Ben Walsh, WE Buchan PUBLIC RELATIONS ADVISOR Ben has a background in sales, marketing and communication, and currently works for PR agency WE Buchan based in their Sydney office. He works with clients in the financial services, technology, and life sciences sectors, assisting them with both investor and media relations. Ben has a Masters of Commerce from Sydney University, and a Bachelor of Arts from McGill University. |
Georgia Borland SOCIAL MEDIA ADVISOR Georgia is the Marketing Manager for HR Legal (Melbourne), a workplace relations and safety law firm. Georgia has developed and executed marketing strategies via digital, social and traditional channels for professional services firms, industry associations and not-for-profits. After completing her Bachelor of Commerce (Majors in Marketing and Management) in 2014 at the University of Melbourne, Georgia continues to be involved in activities that increase her knowledge in the latest in marketing. She has a particular interest in digital, content and social media marketing and how this interrelates and supports an organisations overall strategy, especially as society has changed and being connected globally 24/7 is normalised. She brings with her experience in managing content, targeting, paid advertising and measuring ROI via LinkedIn, Twitter, Facebook and Instagram. |
Samantha Robin COPYWRITER Samantha is a communications adviser with a decade of experience in the media industry, working across federal, state and local government. Samantha has developed communications strategies, run election campaigns, managed events and coordinated stakeholder relations. Samantha has a Bachelor of Mass Communications and has worked as a journalist, writing across a variety of subjects including courts, health, politics, education and tourism. While working in politics, she completed a Master of Public Policy and Management at Monash University, studying units in business relations and politics in Italy and South America. Samantha is passionate about enhancing the Chamber’s reputation in Australia and Canada. Samantha is interested in exploring career opportunities in Canada and learning more about business operations in North America. |
Veronique Proulx, BWM Dentsu MARKETING ADVISOR For over sixteen years in the advertising, communications and brand management world, Veronique cultivated and shaped a diverse range of brands - big and small - ranging from finance to insurance, automotive, entertainment, and humanitarian. Including, Toyota, Holden, Lego, Desjardins, Cirque du Soleil and Action Against Hunger. Working across various brand segments allowed Veronique to fine tune critical skills in account handling and management. Not to mention, giving her the opportunity to develop a natural flair of leadership, to orchestrate communications campaigns that deliver against the marketing objectives in respect with brand positioning, marketing strategies, budgets and timing. |
